Something very interesting I found.

Post » Tue Jul 13, 2010 9:36 am

A few days back, while I was messing around my new Fire Axe, running around and swinging it aimlessly, I accidently hit the Boulder City memorial site with my axe, to my surprise, the man paying respects to his brother came charging at me screaming at me 'What are you doing, don't you know this is a memorial site?' or something to that effect. I used my speech to apologize, but still, I found this a really cool detail, Bravo Obsidian. I've been playing this game almost daily since release, and I'm still finding new things :vaultboy:

Yeah, it's always been there; calling that guy a [censored] before decorating the memorial with his corpse has always been one of Sutler's favourite persuits :chaos:.

Yup. It's like pickpocketing. Crouch, and tap the butten you would if you would pickpocket an NPC. Pretty fun. You could do that in FO3 as well.

I've shot at the memorial once and gotten the same reaction. I love you can react in different ways when he talks about his dead brother. Something like "Your brother's a sissy, and so are you", and "That was rude of me, I apologize". I don't remember exactly, but it's worth trying out.

The first time I went to Boulder City, I found the Service Rifle up stairs, across from the memorial. It was the first time I had gotten that rifle, I took it out of the build and equipped it, and began test firing it in random directions. Well apparently I hit the memorial, because Private Kowalski attacked me, like he did the OP.

He only attacks if you do it twice.

For some odd reason it made me laugh, I sat there for 15 mins aiming at the memorial and listening to him say "Cut that out!"

Side note: I love Brahmin Tipping. ahahahahaha

but if people are saying it back it must be.

Speaking of surprising and unusual things seen- I was playing around with the grenade launcher yesterday, and testing out the 40mm incendiary ammo... man, that round sure makes the roasting bodies fly, don't it? Regular 40mm shells are great, but the incendiaries send them flying up and away like they was launched from a yard-a-pult. At any rate, after firing a round of the stuff into a gaggle of five unsuspecting mercenaries, I was only able to find maybe three of the bodies, afterwards. It was dark out, but I think several of them flew over the ridge into Utah somewheres. Funny thing was, one of the remaining bodies landed on its head, and stuck that way, braced upright on its head and shoulders, with body and legs sticking up in the air as if they were doing the bicycle! Looked incredibly ludicrous
