Something worse than a cheater...

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 1:40 am

Is a cheater who outright denies it. The blatant ones that admit it...while I have no respect for them I don't hate them with such a passion. It's the ones that try to hide it that get under my skin. Even trying to get not so great scores.

I would like to state THIS IS NOT A NAME AND SHAME THREAD (please don't delete). I would just like fellow gamers' opinion on this guy as he flat out denies cheating every time I call him out.

Name: Colemanma

So I've been playing fps for a while now and have pretty good cheater sensor/radar/spidey sense thingy. The 1st time this guy kills me I called him a cheater. He starts this crap about:

- Just because your level 50 that doesn't make you better than me.
- If I was a cheater I would go 68-0 every game.
- You got such an ego to think no one else can kill you, your just not that good.

Then when I point out the fact that his crosshair snaps to me when he aims down the sights and tracks me no matter how I strafe/jump he says:

- I'm using a gamepad. It's better than a mouse and you can control your aiming better.

That's when I lolled and pointed out the fact that there's no aim assist in multiplayer.

So then he makes it his mission to discredit me by only shooting me so that when I try to alert others and get him kicked, I look like a whining noob. This added to the facts that -

1. He only snapped to targets when aiming down the sights so killcam doesn't always look weird (it's too short)
2. People can't spot cheats properly
3. The kick voting sux (I've seen people type /yes in chat to try and kick someone)
4. He deliberately tries to get average scores

means that he (and probably others) play undetected.

Please Crytek do something about this or give us the power to deal with them. Personally I would be part of a cheater hunting alliance and make it my mission to root out these worms who hide among honest players.

...nah bro, this guy in ur vid probably has a REAL nanosuit that enhances his everything...excluding awesomeness nor p3nis size of course...

But I feel ya, I would rather have these "sneak hackers" banned rather than the ones that actually has a pair and does not deny their hacking like a BRO.

I don't think enough hackers are being banned tho, that's the prob.

This was an official EA server. They don't have admins though. I would personally sign up to be admin since the anti cheat is pretty bad on this game.

It's funny, every time I buy a pc game there is ALWAYS some issue that catches me out and needs to be added to the "Must........Avoid!" list. e.g

horrible drm
lack of dedicated servers
steam (if a game sux, can't sell it)

There's probably a whole lot more I can't remember but thanks to Crysis 2, BAD ANTI CHEAT SYSTEM has made it to the list.

I'm starting to think getting Brink on PC is a bad idea.

Last time I remembered about cheats on PC was why I played CoD on PS3 and from the look things I would say I made a wise choice.

I don't wanna get that game for another reason, It's heavily team based and one guy cannot win the game by himself. This is a problem as so many people on every fps game do not play objectively. If I cant be a one man army then I'm not interested.

Certainly if I do get this game I will have to find out what anti cheat system is in place first.

Copied from youtube comment:

Its the people like? this (as well as the? frequent connectivity screwups) that make me dislike this game.

I still play it sometimes though. If you want a fair fight, friend me.

Yep Trolling cheaters (Like one who get 83 relays in CTR) are "fine" at least they are not trying to look like skilled players. These hidden cheaters are real morons who cannot play good without cheats...

Ugh, yeah.

Such guys really should go and do, yes - exactly what Daikatana's infamous ad says.

As at least the cheaters people usually complain about, better known as game breakers. Do it just for the lafflaffs, and not to stroke their fake E-Peens. Like this guy.

Cool playing by the way, nothing is more fun (in this game) than running around and buckshotting people.

"I'm using a gamepad. It's better than a mouse and you can control your aiming better."

Did he seriously expect any one to believe that BS? Gamepad's are the biggest reason FPS on consoles svck.

Meh at some point i even like to play with kiddies which use energy hacks lmao because it's so funny to hear rage in my headphones when they got trashed even with hacks xD
But people who sit behind sniper riffle with aimbot and deny cheating are just brain damaged /nuffsaid

Situations like this just make me wanna to buy my own servers and give people some fun without cheating kiddies, even if i spend few hours just to sit as an admin and watch over players.

This could just mean, that Crytek failed at disabling Aim Assist (which is quite likely).
..or, that the "cheat" involved is simply the reactivation of Aim Assist.

Btw, thx for showing off how messed up the killcam is!

Crytek should lengthen the kill cam, it is way to short and can sometimes make people look like hackers when they not (this guy is just a moron and someone should punch him in the face). I think these aimbot hacks just make use of the aim assist as previously suggested, the game will never detect it as a hack as "technically" it's not. Crytek should release a patch which deletes any and all trace of aim assist code within the game and then adjust the anti-cheat to detect any code relating to that of the aim assist. WTF were they thinking putting aim assist in a FPS like Crysis, that was done by the office n00b.

Why is this surprising? Here on SA servers we have hackers on a daily (sometimes hourly basis) and since the voting system is a joke and admins are few there is nothing you can do.

Just sit back and watch as the guy sitting in the wall nails you in the head time after time.

For this I do not blame the admin or the company that hosts the servers. You cannot expect there to be an admin on all the servers 24/7.

No, for this I blame Crytek.
