I just ran a DX Redist I had downloaded a month or 2 ago to fix my Metro2033 , I can't find a download for the one I have which is 98.3mb extracted. I tried running the DXruntime web installer thing but it did not install anything so I ran this "directx_Jun2010_redist" and it copied a whole bunch of stuff. I rebooted , and just went through the Helios tower mission and the slowdowns and major hitches were minimized for me where as before my game slowed so bad that it locked.

Now granted , I had just rebooted and started fresh from a save I made just outside the facility whereas before when it locked I had been playing for about 2 hours so , take it for whats it worth. Also Funny thing is I had just run this directx_Jun2010_redist in early Aug yet it still installed a whole bunch of files , strange I know but worth a try if your suffering form major stuttering.

side note: I did NOT try any other fixes , I was gonna try the ToggleEmotions but my console would not work.


I truly hopes this works for some others because this is an Awesome game when it works right!! well gotta go wipe out a valley of Rad Scorpions now!!
