Sometimes i hate having NV for PC

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 10:13 pm

I can only talk about my mods (FNNCQ, Time for bed, Iguanas). I don't want to simply port my mods to NV. It's a different game with a different mood and pace. It deserves it that I pay attention to this and don't make a simple port.

I am pretty sure other serious modders think the same and the development of the new things takes time.

This.

The difference in tone can be (is) rather jarring if straight-up FO3 ports are plonked into the NV atmosphere. Maybe not so much with YourFavouriteWeaponMod, but anything regarding quests, dialogue and companions is going to take time to either convert or create.

Well i see it like an opportunity to get a break from gaming when i go to the forum and look what other modders have done, maybe some one have made something to enhance my game or give me an idea for something i want to change or make a mod my self.

Thats why no consoles never is going to beat a PC (besides that PC games looks and plays far better), consoles is for the newbie gamer when PC's is for the old (and new) hard core gamer ;)

i think there will be as many mods for nv as for fo3. the game got only released and it will take some time to convert mods (i had to realize that myself)

But overall i have the feeling, that the nv mods are of a higher quality because many modders have more experience and the changes to the geck were smaller than the changes from tes to fo3.
