The songs fit with the theme, no doubt, but it kinda always felt strange that they were only playing songs that were well over 100 years old already when the Great War was happening. And when Three Dog and Mr. New Vegas were operating their stations, the songs were about over 300 years old. Was there no more music made after the 50's?
It's problematic, also, in that current day pop and rock music won't fit in at all, and making up a whole set artists and "50's inspired retrofuturistic" music genres and songs can be quite a task.
