Songs that remind you of Skyrim, or that you will listen to

Post » Wed Aug 31, 2011 2:59 pm

I had some songs that I always play and thought, "this would be badass music for Skyrim" or "wow I'm going to play this in my car on the way to get the game during midnight release".

Here are my few choices. The lyrics in these songs can relate to Skyrim, or Elder scrolls in general. Anyone else got a few good songs???

Megadeth- Five Magics

Dio- Killing the Dragon

I only listen to my own music in MMO's because it helps while grinding... Glad I stopped playing MMO's...
In Single Player games I always listen to in game music.

Icewind Dale music. Music for a fantasy videogame set in a snowy environment, composed by Jeremy Soule. Can't get more appropriate than that. :P

I might have to listen to http://youtu.be/in_Oyywwqa0 by Tool once I reach the uppermost shore in the North.

Would seem rather appropriate whilst in that cold isolation, looking up at the aurora, contemplating CHIM ...

Probably won't post any videos because people are whiney about Metal around here and it's [censored] annoying.
But I'd listen to
Wanderer - Ensiferum
Deathbringer From The Sky - Ensiferum
Ethica Odini - Enslaved
Any good Dark Ambient music I stumble across
maybe a lot more that I can't think of right now.

Really? I hadn't ever noticed that.

Kinda' ironic, seeing how the game is set in Skyrim and all. Hell, if the Nords were "real", metal would be the very music they'd listen to.

It's a scientific fact that Vikings listened to Heavy Metal.
After all Thor is the inventor of Heavy metal.

Oh and also, The thing that should not be, from Master of Puppets, maybe Nightfall in Middle-Earth from Blind Guardian

Exactly!

And if Phil Anselmo was a character in Skyrim, he'd be a Grey Beard... now that would be one ear-shattering thu'um! :shocking:

I'm trying to build up a collection of traditional scandinavian/Icelandic folk music to augment the game's soundtrack if necessary.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnT4VEaOALc when I get tired of the in-game music, but Jeremy Soule makes some seriously beautiful stuff so I don't want to miss any of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7L2PVdrb_8 song also seems perfect for the setting of TES and Skyrim. Incredible series btw.

Will listen to the in-game music pretty much 98% of the time. But I will play this a few times when I have an epic dragon fight.

Pretty much. Even when drunk. Oblivion soaked me into its world countless times on some wet winter days.
