For me, I'm going to make a playlist for the different factions.

For the Resistance (my preferred faction) its going to be a bit more fast paced punk/metal:
My playlist right now has a bit of Red Fang, early Mastodon, Black Label Society, early Lamb of God, a little Hammerfall, and of course some Rage Against the Machine. haha oh AND 3 Inches of Blood!!

For the Security I am gonna go more with classic rock/alternative:
My Security playlist has a LOT of Motorhead, some Black Sabbath/Ozzy, Eagles of Death Metal, Iron Maiden, JOHNNY CASH, Led Zeppelin, and Wolfmother.

just gotta set these up soon. WOO

Drum & Bass makes walls explode.

Dubstep doesn't have the climixes to achieve that.

Core DnB isn't that explosive. Personally I think Future Bass/Dubstep fits that description better.

Anyway, my choices...

1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN5xCpBen7w ...from the pics of I've seen of Brink so far the resistance have got a coastal/ghetto vibe to them and this song has that kind of vibe to me.

2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6FyvK4DO6U ...just seems to fit well with leaping over things and shotgunning people in the face :P

3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRnDIXsGIyc ...probably fits a trailer better than gameplay but it just has a kind of desperate struggle sound to it.

4. Pendulum - Slam/Tarantula/Blood Sugar/Salt In the Wounds/The Island Pt.2/Any of their badass tunes just cause they make you wanna tear the place up.

5. Prodigy - Omen/Invaders Must Die/Thunder/Take Me to the Hospital/Firestarter/Voodoo People/Spitfire/etc. same as above.

6. Rage Against the Machine - anything of theirs.

The Resistance faction in Brink seems heavily street-focused, and variations of punk music always seemed appropriate to me for that.

Here's my backup: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTw2YvutJRA

I understand that, though at any given moment there'll be some clean, futuristic element present - resistance have to play security maps, and security have to play resistance maps. The Prodigy probably reflect that well.

Anyhoo, if you like good Dubstep, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTdKEsyO2_0
And if you like good Drum & Bass, check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8n1UHAbZ-5w

I PAUSED ELLIE GOULDING FOR THIS? Jk (about being disgruntled, not about listening to Ellie), I think you just cured my distaste for dubstep and DnB.

Mastodon, JOHNNY CASH

Good man.

AND 3 Inches of Blood!!

Fun band, though I can't tell if they're serious... I really hope not.

Hahaha dude they are the best. Just a bunch of Canadian dudes who have fun making music about epic battles and glory and victory. Their music is an acquired taste I would say.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hW93CV6m-JU - Mad World - Gary Jules. I could imagine a still-motion capture of a fight kind of like the Halo Believe trailer, would be badass :P

Gary Jules' cover of Mad World is the most overplayed [censored] ever.

The Tears for Fears original is 10x better and always will be.

)LP(- Wretches and Kings. The edginess to it and how it just has that "BOOM EPIC!" feeling. listen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiEzx4JPeAc

I was thinking Wretches and Kings, but I still have to go with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51iquRYKPbs which BTW currently has the most "likes" with two people responding that they think it fits =3 *[censored] yeah face*

Just look up the lyrics :D. I suppose it makes most sense from Resistance's point of view. Either that song or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAHmO-Hkvfc

Actually just about the whole "For we are many" album makes sense with Brink and Resistance.

There aint no rest for the wicked. Not really, I just think its an awesome song. Trolling about this will turn you into a zombie, and you shall be banished to JUSTIN BIEBER! I'd say hell, but they're pretty much the same.

Children of the Revolution by T.Rex can serve as the theme song for The Resistance.

This thread is going to be a simple concept. What songs have you listened to that have made you think, "i can't wait for Brink" Whoever posts a song that the most people like will get a :trophy:*

Rules
1) Song must have something to do with some aspect of Brink
2) You must include in a sidenote what made you think of Brink when listening to the song
3) HAVE FUN WITH IT :)

Example
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OanbqQP2hBY

My guns go :gun:<---- Reason it made me think of BRINK

P.S. this is my attempt at adding some music to the forums, so just roll with it ;)

Don't have the internet capacity here to go through all vids (Using school access, which is limited to 10GB/month)

Everything that has to do with Pendulum or The Prodigy is fine for me :whistling:

I will probably be security, but for Resistance I am not sure you can beat Nonpoint's "Side With the Guns".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbSJ7EdxjMw

I'm not sure about a good Nonpoint song for the security point of view...maybe Impossible Needs? Or you can't go wrong with "Bring Me Down".
