Songs you hope made it into the game.

Right now, I'm hoping for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QWeG_JA4tA more than anything. I really love the song, and I think it's a perfect fit for the tone of the game, considering the player character loses his/her family.

What songs would you like to hear on the radio?

Mr. Sandman! I would love to go on a murder spree with that cheerful song playing in the background!

Wouldn't that be funny if it was no where in the game?

Wouldn't be the first time, a song that was used in a trailer for fallout 3 never made it into the game.

I think https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVRTCKTJU5Q would fit rather well in the fallout universe.

Anything by Ella Fitzgerald, Bettie Hutton, or Julie London.

I really enjoy most of the music from the Fallout games, but there are too many male voices (and way too much yodeling).

It would be hilarious to blow up huge raider settlements, while listening to "Cry Me a River."

EDIT: removed Billie Holiday, because I forgot about "Crazy He Calls Me." I stand by my suggestions though.

Just one song needs to be in the game:

Meow Mix jingle

Honestly though the main thing I want with the radio is to have a better DJ than Mr New Vegas. He was kind of annoying, especially given the discrepancy between the volume of the radio when it was playing the songs versus the volume of the radio when he started screaming into my ear. Three Dog was a legend, hopefully the DJ in FO4 will be more like him (someone you can actually meet in game)

Most songs I could mention would never make it ... too expensive. New Vegas really really needed some Elvis but I'm sure they couldn't afford it.

Though, some of the songs on https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/ultimate-50s-rockin-sci-fi/id334072847 would probably be appropriate. Most of them can be listened to on Youtube.

A lot of stuff from The Platters would fit theme for this game I think.

Couldn't disagree more, Mr. New Vegas was amazing, Three Dog was just an annoying loudmouth, who tried so hard to be cool it was sickening.

OT: I'd love to hear some Irma Thomas and more Marty Robbins.

They're not exactly the right musical flavour for Fallout, but just so damn appropriate...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZIh47nzmMA, and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrbv40ENU_o.

I'd love to find a nightclub somewhere in the ruins of Boston, occupied only by skeletons in the seats, and one at the piano, with these two songs to be found on an audio log.

Tom Lehrer even taught at MiT in the early 60's :)

Exactly the reason, There are a few songs from that film that I think really fit well with the whole Fallout setting.

After listening to it, I definitely think "So Long, Mom" would make a perfect fit.

Love these song threads:

Billie Holiday - say it with a kiss

Dean Martin - Powder your face with sunshine

Helen Forrest - you′re a sweet little headache

Mr. New Vegas was literally the loudmouth. Here I am, going on a nighttime stroll in the Mojave, listening to the soft tunes of Nat King Cole, and then his blaring voice comes on taking about crap I don't care about. Three Dog was only annoying when you played an evil character.
