Songs You Would Have Liked To See In The Game

Post » Mon Apr 20, 2009 11:52 pm

Just what it says on the tin.

Not that I don't mind modding and all that, but just post some songs you think would have been very fitting to be officially included in the game.

Here's my pick.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wutPsl41saE

It's hard to explain how well this song fits other than comparing it to Butcher Pete from F3, just without the innuendo. It's also rather reasonable, with the more "country" feel of the radio stations. Here, take a look at some of the lyrics.

" 'Cut L M N 'cross both of your arms
Gonna be sellin' shoestrings and pencils, sugar, your whole life long.
Gonna cut O P Q, that'll be trouble too
'Cause Imma grab you, momma, and turn you every way but loose.

I'm gonna cut R S T
Just to hear you cry
That's the last time tears
Are gonna run from both of your eyes"

And this is all coming from a good ol' Georgia boy. This is just one example of classic, ludicrously violent Delta Blues songs, which is part of why a Fallout set in the Deep South would be wonderful. The whole atmosphere was very threatening in the time period that Fallout started to split off from. But that's not what this topic is about. Simply post some songs you would have liked to see!

If i could, i would put Galaxy News Radio into F:NV. I loved the songs in F3, and Three Dogg just made it all better. Damn, i miss listening to that radio station...
I don't listen to the radio in F:NV because Mr. New Vegas is a [censored] and i hate many of the songs -_-

Trader's Life, Khans of New California, All Clear Signal and Metallic Monks (altough this is in the game, it's not in the Hidden Valley). All by Mark Morgan. For some reason they were included in the game files. I'd mod them in, but I have problems with the GECK.

Anything Cash really, my pick Ring of Fire  but then it's costs lots of cash for the good songs.....as someone said the songs from GNR should of been in the game.

But on PC you can add songs to radio playlists.....anything you want.

LOL...I personally would like to hear some HateBreed or something hard core in the game, not that it would really exist in the universe of the game anyway(actually timeline wise it would). Some Tool would be good. More Frank SInatra. OutKast(they are always a favorite). Heck since we are talking hypothetical anyway. Or maybe a station for Stevie Wonder...LOL...

I have always complained about the fact there seems to be maybe four or five songs max in the game. And I miss Three-Dog, he was classic that guy...

Good one. I regret how the songs in New Vegas don't (as a whole) have the sly setting references that F3's did. They're good songs, but they're just songs.

I hope a future fallout will include some good old Rockabilly, Surf (I know) or Orchestral radio stations.

I See a Darkness - Johnny Cash
When the Man Comes around - Johnny Cash
Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash
Solitary Man - Johnny Cash

Viva Las Vegas - Presley
(again, why bother with the kings if there's not one stich of Elvis music?) yeah they explained it in-game but I still thought it was lame.

Outside of the game... It would have likely cost them their entire song budget for one Elvis song.
