Sonic Emitter - Tarantula

Post » Thu Jul 21, 2011 4:49 pm

I was searching for the Opera frequency in Higg's Village when I stumbled upon the Tarantula frequency. It's located within the #00 House up the stairs past the damaged Securitrons, into a room with a large monitor and other technologic devices, its right on top of the PC in the corner. Hope this helped

P.S. Update the wiki with this info, Im sure many will find it useful

I dont mind at all, actually I wanted somebody to do it for me cause I didn't feel like doing it myself

But Im also wondering if any of you guys are not able to use different emitter frequencies, because I cant use Tarantula or Robo-Scorpion. I try talking to the jukebox but he doesnt give me the option to use them, only Revelation and Gabe's Bark

Oh okay. :P just wanted to make sure. :D

And forgive this question, I mean no ill will, did you make sure you told him you had new frequencies to calibrate? I only ask because, while I don't have Robo-Scorpion yet, I did just pick up Tarantula (thanks again btw :D) and I can use it.

EDIT - On that note, Tarantula + Meltdown + Close-Range = Non Existant DT, and when I say non existant, I mean it cut through my 29 DT like a hot (pun intended) knife through butter.

I think I found it in the Magnetohydraulics Complex, don't quote me on it though. >.< I know I found it during the quest to get all the appliances activated though, if that helps. :sadvaultboy:

EDIT - No wait, I beleive it was also in Higg's Village. Yeah, that sounds more familiar.

I found the corrosive glove a second ago as well. Its in the Z-43 Innovative Toxins Plant, right when you walk in the door turn right and go straight to the wall with the tilted shelf and in between the top and bottom shelf there is a crack, and in the crack is the green corrosive glove.

P.S. Im on a roll finding all of these weapons and stuff.

Yeah but it is one of the last discovery quests. Kind of svcks to have to find every upgrade for everything before you can get the locations of all of them.

Higgs' Village is south east of the Think Tank. I beleive the Jukebox holotape is there. I honostly can't remember, but there is a quest that leads you to all of them.

Can anyone tell me the differences between frequencies? I don't use the emitter aside from force fields.

It would probobly be better to use this weapon for it's status effects like knockback, paralyze and dismemberment instead of just it's maximum damage. There's other more powerful weapons you can you use for that.

Appreciate the info. Better recalibrate it then, just in case. Though ew skill being 17, not much good it will do I guess.
