Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo union. Only hope for consoles

I have been into consoles and personal computers (PCs) since the early 1980s. PCs at first was just some hardware IBM had slapped together that ran DOS which Microsoft owns. What is a PC, or better yet, when was the last time anyone bought hardware slapped together by IBM? Are PCs more powerfull than consoles? Trick questlon. Not all PCs are created equally. My Xbox One is on par with my Vista destop. In fact I am typing this post on my Xbox One. The main difference between the two is the Vista system is more open than the Xbox One. Microsoft has more control over the hardware inside and what hardware that can be plugged into it. Not to mention the control Microsoft has over what software that will run on it

I agree, but I think as far as power goes, people meant the available power, of course if you're gonna get the best of the best for a PC, you'll spend more money on it than you would on the best console out there. It might last longer though, unless you're obsessed with having all the new stuff though.

Back to the topic though, no, a super console would not be good, it would be like Apple, Microsoft and Linux banding together in order to create the next operating system.

Also, welcome to the forums, http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg

You must have a pretty crappy desktop then, PC hardware is still light years ahead of the stuff that's inside a console. My 8 core, 3.5 ghz CPU and my GeForce 780 could run circles around an Xbox One. And I'm not even top of the line.

The link I was quoting the charges were $0 for Humble Bundle purchases. If you pay them $0 it costs them money, whereas if you pirate it there is no cost to them. Therefore, it benefits them more if you don't buy it or pirate it than if you "bought" it for $0. I was primarily pointing out that it was a mean spirited thing to do, and something that should ideally not be encouraged. While I'm aware that PC's serve multiple functions the 'average' user is moving towards tablets more than a desktop computer or a laptop. Additionally an appropriately kitted office computer won't be able to play many games, you do have to make some more investment in order to play computer games. So it's hard to argue that it is already a cost you have to pay.

And yes, I'm aware of the sales :P :
