I'm gonna wait for a reasonable amount of time before purchasing a console from this next generation... going through 3 xbox 360's is not fun.

And Im not going to buy into this new gen of consoles period and avoid all the crap that comes with it :pinch:
Still interested to see what they are capable of though, as consoles do effect the games that are released for PC.

Incoming $1200 console that wont sell well for quite some time that will later have to be scaled down about 3 times so people can buy it. :biggrin:

Console prices haven't increased that much over the years, so I doubt the change between two consecutive generations will be huge.

Microsoft began openly hiring for development personnel in March. Almost 2 months before Nintendo announced Project Cafe.

Nintendo wants to be first out the door.

MS wants a console that doesn't break.

Sony jumped the gun to please investors and customers.

Yes. I hate the PS controller. It was fine... in 1995. it just feels awkward next to a 360 controller, especially for FPS games.

This is nothing new. Just like when Morrowind was done, Oblvion was being started. We will not see the PS4 for another 4 or 5 years. Hell if it wasn't for the 360, Sony woudln't have released the PS3 until last year or now.

We will not see anything or hear details for another 4 or 5 years.

Terrible for the games industry if that were true, I'm thinking more like 2 or 3 years left on this gen. I know they were pushing that "10 year lifespan" thing, but I don't think that plan will last.

When Sony first announced that "10 year lifespan" I laughed. I'm starting to think they were serious.
