Sooo Farkas died...

Yeah Farkas met is demise in a dwarven ruin we were in after a Atherium piece. We were attacked by two Falmer warmongers and a couple lesser falmer.

I noticed he went down to one knee after one hit from a warmonger on Adept , which was strange for him since i smithed him legendary ebony armor and enchanted it , he was usually alot more resistant being able to take a few blows before using a.potion i had given or me healin him and he.still had three potions on him when he fell.

i would say it was me that killed him because when he went down those two.warmongers came after me so i switched to chain lightning " im a battle mage " , BUT i enchanted Farkas's armor with lightning and fire resist for when i use my spells and he had been resisting. Plus i thought he was essential....and everywhere i looked online said he was to.

So what happened?

Do you have mods installed? Farkas is essential, he's a quest giver. Somehow his essential tag got removed if he's dead.

Im on xbox and i have the legendary edition. I reloaded when he died , i must admit when i turned around to heal him and he was dead i was quite upset lol. ive got used to him always being there.

anyways I enchanted his gear with the resistances , his res is like 123 to lightning and fire...but after a reload i tested chain lightning on him and he no longer is resisting and it hurts him...but only a.little. I guess it was enough to kill him earlier but he should have never died to start with...

i dont know . but now im paranoid lol i actually was sad he was dead. thank goodness for reloads :P

Actually I just looked at the Wiki and apparently Farkas is essential until after "Glory of the Dead" has been completed. If you completed that he can be killed apparently. Only tip I can give you is doing the Dragonborn expansion and getting the benefit of the Black Book: The Winds of Change - Companions Insight. It will take away your ability to harm followers.
