Is it truly an acronym or why everyone writes it "SINK", instead of "Sink"?

Main dude resides at the Atomic Wrangler.

Its hard to beat THE SINK, once you finish OWB it has easy access thanks to the transponder.
You get a bed, autodoc, all three crafting stations, plenty of storage containers so you can organize your goods, and the Sink appliances can break down junk into additional crafting material such as coffee cups into empty syringes. Not to mention the ability to grind down plants into Salient green which can then be turned back into any of the other plants. If you didn't have to dismiss your followers to get there it would be perfect.



Because one of the appliances in the SINK is a http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sink_%28robot%29 so it prevents confusion.

I stay in Novac but plan on moving to the SINK.

Since its on my mind why exactly is it called the SINK anyway? I don't remember it ever actually being said.

Been awhile since i last visited it (Just started two new accounts, been alternating, havent done OWB on either yet), but pretty sure the Think Tank says it when you first get there and start talking to them, if not, the doors say The SINK before you enter them... :\

Thomas, my (first, good aligned) Indy, lives on the roads all around the Mojave, going for safehouse to safehouse with Cass and the occasional caravan.
Daveney, my current (Neutral aligned) Indy will spend time going between the Lucky 38 and The Sink, one to be at the center of power for her new nation, and the other to harvest new technologies to bring back home until she figures out how to get more people to Big Mountain and make a University Town out of it.
