Soooo.... No Love for Lefties?

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 10:13 pm

I've been a huge fan of the Fallout (and Elder Scroll) games, but there's a recurring theme I was hoping would be resolved by Fallout 4. Left-handed sticks. I've basically had to learn how to play with right-handed sticks, however I have to lower the games difficulty because I'm not able to respond fast enough. I realize lefty players are small in number, and I don't know anything about programming, but I can't imagine it being too difficult to add this feature. Is there something behind the scenes that makes this such an issue?

P.S. Loving Fallout 4

I'm a lefty that was fortunately taught everything as a righty. If that makes sense o.O

Anyways, a lot of the games controls are wonky in themselves, not being modifiable and the like. Try playing with a controller? :/ All I can suggest.

edit: My apologies for not reading the whole post. But my original point stands, the controls are just wonky in general with remaps and stuff.

If you are on PS4 you can swap the sticks in system settings, and turn them on/off by holding down the PS button.

Fourth Ace, I owe you a beer. Dug around in the Xbox settings and found out you can do the same thing.

As long as it is a dark beer, I'll take it...that light stuff is for gurls. (lol) Glad it worked for you. :)

Deal with it, you're a minority, a abomination, you're not normal...and Bethesda obviously wants you to know.

(I'm joking, made a Mod to help anyone regarding this problem...;) )

I too am a lefty with a pc. So far I'm trying to get used to the right hand key config.

But my mouse is a left-handed version, but I swapped the buttons so that a right handed person still can work with it.

Except that the game doesn't care about these settings.

So when I want to shoot, I block instead.

Takes a while before my brain gets rewired.
