I'm sorry Bethesda, but the snow looks horrible...

Yeah Momaw, the sound of walking on snow is not right. Actually if you listen closely, it does make a different noise, but to me it sounds more like squishing than crunching. I always thought it sounded like I was walking on something fleshy/slimy, not snowy/icy, lol.

Snow falls. Why worry where it goes? M'aiq thinks the snowflakes are pretty.

I was disappointed with the lack of footprints also. it seems like such an obvious way to increase immersion.

Other than in some caves and dungeons where it looks like they went over the walls with spraypaint from MS Paint, no complaints. They could've done more with it, but how often do you get a release date as cool-sounding as 11-11-11?

Maybe 01-02-12 or 12-12-12. [censored], I could've waited another year for them to get some of this stuff right.

EDIT: Not really talking about snow. Nvm, dikeing my mouth.

I've yet to bother taking a close look at the game's snow. Might be because of a frost troll that keeps trying to eat my face.

I didn't exactly say we needed snow physics so I could throw snowballs at the children.

Actually since you mentioned it, you should tack that on, just in case Bethesda hears you out and does what you want. I'd love to throw a snowball at some of those children.

you know what this map needs? It needs more Snow.

You know not that much, just like 2 cubic tons.

That’s a complete cry for attention.. SeriouslY?? Why don’t you leave footprints..?? lol...
Why are you so dramatic? Yeah, I think the snow looks bad. I think they should fix it. I didn't say "The snow is bad and thus the entire game is bad."

Bigger priorities. Like making an awesome RPG instead of a snow simulator.

Skyrim is an awesome RPG?

This.

And imagine the added quest and/or roleplaying possibilities of footprints! You could track people/animals/beasts by their footprints and/or blood, or you could just happen upon some interesting tracks in the middle of nowhere and follow them to see what they lead to.
And the imperials can use their urine to draw funny pictures in the snow outside Windhelm.

I have no clue why people think the snow looks off, other than poorly calibrated/cheap screens and/or cheap tv's. It looks fine and has shadding on my PC w/ an ISP panel. I have grew up in a mountainous area as a kid and Skyrim's climate is far better simulation that games I have played before. Maybe you all are going snowblind and need to wear goggles...lol

This made me laugh harder than it should... Just because I tried to teach my sister to drive a clutch, in the snow... Oh wow. These dragons going in reverse simply remind me of the good old days.
