My PC spec at the time of installing 1.9, DX11 & the Hi-res pack:
Q6600 @3.2ghz
Gigabyte GTX460 OC2 1Gig
4 Gig Ram
Win 7 Ultimate x64 =
Constant crashing, freezing, BSD etc

That made me decide to upgrade my Ram to 8gig.......still got the crashes etc

My current PC spec

Win 7 Ultimate x64 =
Up to now NO crashes what so ever!

I can only assume my CPU overclock was unstable as the only other game ive had the odd crash in is Rise of Flight.
Oh & come to think of it Dirt 3 as well (ill have to go & check that one out with my new settings!)

i had the same problem....
have u increased the ram voltage because sometime if you overclock
your cpu the ram voltage gets decreased.
look for the current voltage with measure tools like everest.
and then increse it in bios until u get the standart voltage of your ram.
or just increase it a little bit if you have already standard.

Yeah, this game is known for crashes, when you don't match the minimum requirements....

Most of the people here talk so much s-h-i-t without knowing a d-a-m-n, I have only core 2 duo 4 GB RAM and GTX 460 everything works perfectly.

Your memory may have been the problem. It may have gone bad, and the new memory will obviously cure that. But just because you put more in, does not mean that anyone reading this need rush out and buy 8GB of RAM. 4GB is optimal for playing todays games and using any more that is not needed. Crysis 2, as a program, does not actually use more than 2GB, and it couldn't use more than 4GB even if it wanted to.
