Soul Calibur!

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 1:32 am

So, Ive recently started playing Soul Calibur IV again, and discovered that I.... Am terrible. With most characters anyways. But I just felt like asking, in light of this revalation,

My personal favorite is Raphael. His fighitng style and character all together are pretty awesome.

Boy did I hate Soul Calibur IV's online community. Everyone would spam the same Asteroth move.

I rented it during my achievement phase and got all the achievements in 4 days. Nearly broke a controller trying to reach level 20 online...

Cervantes. All the way. I am a demon with him. My friends won't play SC with me anymore. :(

Of course, all the combos in the world won't save you from the SCIV button-mashing horde. Haven't played online in.. wow, over a year.

I generally prefer quicker characters over stronger characters, so when I play Soul Calibur (only have II & IV) I usually play with Talim.

But Kilik and Seong Mi-na are pretty cool too B)

Used to play Soul Blade too, I belive I played mostly with Li Long back then.

Same here when I played SC. One time when I was playing with a friend or was it the computer---anyway I wiped them out in just three of Cervantes most powerful moves. I liked SC I, II and III. I didn't care for IV or the PSP one. But when I played SC IV I was getting good at using Nightmare.

No Necrid for SCII? Shame on you!

Cervantes is #2 for me, Necrid being #1

my girlfriend bought me soul calibur 4 when I was feeling really depressed. The game is alright, I just never really got into that style of gaming. The thought was what really counted. I will never sell that game no matter what because of it!

Raphael was my favourite for his very powerful and speedy figthing style, but I do prefer Cervantes' dual sword throwing attacks more.

And no Li Long from Soulblade?

I am usually Kilik and Maxi.

Whenever I play with my friends, they ban those characters though. :(

From Soul Blade I used Mitsurugi, and then switched to Hwang. Yun-seong for Soul Caliber II, then custom characters in III. Didn't like Yun-seong's style as much in III, and only played little of IV. I like Seong Mi-na's style too; fast and good at fighting for different ranges.

I generally just pick someone at random. If I had to pick a favorite, I guess Xianghua.

Since we just had this thread, I figured I could just leave http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-05-11-first-soulcalibur-v-details in here.

If they drop Yoshi, so help me I will hack the game and mod him in from the origonal SC, and everyone will fear me.

No matter what anyone says, Maxi is the absolute best character, period . I'm probably a tad biased since I used Maxi to beat Soul Calibur II in an arcade a long time ago, cost me a lot of money to haha.

My, I would have never figured you liked him so much. ^_^

I think it's more likely that Bethesda suddenly turns Skyrim into a medieval city simulator than Konami dropping Yoshimitsu from the roster of either of their big bemu franchises.
