Soul Trap Enchantment: 1 Second?

Post » Thu Jan 09, 2014 7:51 am

So I've been saving up all these soul gems so I can use them in conjunction with my soul snare weapons. Finally got one, and I'm working on enchanting my Orcish Sword, but I don't know if I should put the slider on 1 second, or 6 second.

Technically, if I put it on 1 second, won't the killing blow capture the soul? I always did my bows like this and it worked, but never my sword.

I'm using a Grand Soul Gem, and my Enchanting is on 41.

Alright, yeah that works, never mind. Tested it out on a Whiterun Guard and reloaded the game.

It'll work. 1 second is best with Soul Trap and Paralyze.

Yes, this is a nice way to collect plenty of souls. 1 second is plenty as long as you make the killing blow.

Using 1 second soul trap is especially practical for sneaky assassin type characters.

Yep since 1 second paralyze actually adds up to about 3-4 seconds of the victim falling over then getting back up. :)

Fiery soul trap for one second gives you lots of fire damage and soul trapping with very little recharging.
