One more note before I paste this, I am looking for help in two areas. One is expanding the existing level created, the other is adding unique textures or retextures to the weapons. If you'd like to lend a hand in either of these areas, send me a message on here.
The Soulstealer is a weapon that acquires souls by killing people. These souls can be spent on upgrading the weapon, or "Soulforging" new items and creatures.
This mod adds:
-A short quest introducing the weapon.
-Upgradable weapon, starting as an iron sword and reforgable into a greatsword, bow, or sword of any material type found in vanilla Skyrim -- iron, steel, orcish, dwarven, elven, glass, ebony and daedric.
-Purchasable offhands. Shields, swords and daggers of all the material types above.
-Dozens of creatures to follow you into battle. From a mudcrab to a giant, forge them from the souls of your slain foes and watch as they follow you to the ends of Nirn. Be sure to read the User Manual before doing so. These creatures don't count as companions or summons, so you may have a companion, summon, and Soulforged creature.
The Quickstart variant gives you 1000 souls at the start and allows you to directly travel to the Soul Shrine. If you want to just jump right in and see what the mod's all about, use this plugin. Use only one of the plugins, not both.

Known areas for improvment (I will be spending some Tuesday and Thursday this week working on these)
-Special effects applied to items
- Shield needs an effect that only affects the shield
- Greatsword needs its own effect
- Bow needs a flashier effect
-Special effect applied to creatures should be tweaked to make it more unique.
-Quest stage 2 needs to be fixed so that the target is the Dremora and not the entrance to the shrine -- this was a workaround due to the game adding the quest marker to the wrong location since the cell I used is duplicated.
-Adding a courier to deliver Marielle's letter.
-Perhaps a tiered system, where you unlock iron, then steel, and so on.
From the community, I hope I can find help with:
-Expanding shrine so that the initial quest is told as intended. I need only two rooms added, one quarters for the cultists and one for the cultist leader.
-Retextures for the items, so the weapon is actually unique. Remodels would be awesome, but making several tiers seems like quite a lot of work.
