Sound Effects Problem

I'm having a small problem with sound effects in my game revolving around bows. I noticed that the bow string effect no longer happened when I pulled back an arrow. That in itself wasn't so bad, until I noticed that quite a few creatures, namely Nix Hounds and Kwama Workers, were using the bow string sound whenever they moved.

If anyone can suggest a way to fix this up, I would be grateful.

EDIT: A bit of investigating seems to suggest that the swap around is being caused by TR_Data.esm. So I'm curious if this is happening for anyone else with the mod installed.

Some of my sound effects changed recently, too - in particular, I *think* the sound of the banners for stores blowing in the wind turned into an echoing banging noise. I'll check my bow and creature sounds next time I load it up and see if I'm affected in the same way. It started after I installed Sacred East, but I haven't looked into it enough to point fingers at it. Check out Balmora, for example, during a storm and let me know if you hear anything weird.

Obvious question is if the problem persists with Expanded Sounds.esp disabled (and with an Updated or New save file.)

EDIT: A bit of investigating seems to suggest that the swap around is being caused by TR_Data.esm. So I'm curious if this is happening for anyone else with the mod installed.
I haven't heard that yet. But not sure if I've used a bow yet with Map 3 installed.

I have Sacred East loaded. Haven't used a bow yet, but no problems with banners in Balmora whether with light wind or storm.

Right - I don't use expanded sounds and I'm having similar problems.

no problems with banners in Balmora whether with light wind or storm.

It was a guess - I thought the sounds were coming from the flapping signs, but it was actually the bow pullback sound coming from creatures.

If it is what I think, it could happen with different sounds replaced depending on mod list. Basically, I think some obsolete creatures have been deleted from TR_Data.esm forgetting to clean their sound entries. If anybody having the problem is confident with CS, you could try cleaning the red entries as showed below and see what happens.

abot - you rock. Yes, removing TR from my mod load solved the problem. Hopefully a bug that causes creatures to sound like a bowstring will be worth an update by the team, especially with your solution presented.

The problem with the sounds of flapping daedric bat wings and the pulling of bowstrings replacing movement sounds has been eating away at my soul. Nearly every single creature has been making a dreadful, croaking cacophony since the installation of SE. I was tempted to ask around about it yesterday, but I stupidly decided not to instead.

Testing abot's suggestion right now.

Edit: I'm terrible at messing around with the sound stuff, so I couldn't find a solution.

hi.

in my new game, before i uninstalled everything, i had expanded sounds and in the boat at the beginning, there was a terrible sound!
it was not the boat creaking, nor the lanturn burning, sounded more like a gun going off!

after reinstalling the game I use the MSOG overhaul, using ase sounds. the terrible sound is gone.
