Sound issues...

Okay, I have a Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer card, and the latest beta drivers that apparently came out this week. I am on Windows 7 64-bit.

I also have it set up for a 5.1 surround.

Now... my problem: I have to apparently use ALchemy to get X-Fi CMSS 3D to work properly, and thus make all mono sounds play through the full front speaker array (left, center, right) instead of just the center. However, it has developed a bit of a nasty problem: if a rapid fire weapon or explosion goes off... there's a chance that my whole computer will BSOD on me.

If I disable ALchemy for FONV, it works without a hitch, but then all the mono sounds only play through the center speaker; stuff like weapon animation sounds (bolt action, reloading, equip/unequip), footsteps, and two-way dialog with NPCs.

So does anyone know a way to make the mono sounds play through the entire front speaker array?

I have FFDShow set to not run with FONV, and have also uninstalled AC3Filter.
