Hello all,

I recently reformatted my computer & had to reinstall MW. Everything works fine as before EXCEPT now my sound levels have somehow gotten out of balance. Certain sound effects - such as the wood creaking of docks - are extremely loud, but if I turn the Effects slider down, I can barely hear the other sound effects. Switching to Software Mode helps even things out, but then it totally cuts out all sounds beyond a certain distance (which was NOT the case before). Over the past 11 years I have reinstalled the game many times on a number of different computers, and never had this issue.

Anyone run across this problem? And if so, were you able to fix it? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or advice.
