If you play new las vegas in WINDOW MODE then all works fine even in high settings...

dont know why this is?
Maybe a smart mind can figure that out and find another way using this.

(When you start, go to options and choose option window mode in the left lower corner.)


I had performamce problems as described in forums from the fist second on. That voices, dialogs, gun sound, etc. was not hearable or after pressing escape it all came,...sometimes the game was freezing for a while..
This problem with the sound ruined lots of my last weekend.
Did upgrading ,reinstalling of drivers, changed settings...but looks like its a program error of New Vegas on my machine and others?

I am playing on XP, RAM 4GB, old AMD 3.2, 9800GT, etc.

Hopefully they do an acceptable patch on this game to make it playable like Fallout 3.
Mean what is different to Fallout 3? Looks like mostly Steam?
(Steam should be able to disable, just for the user dont want to exchange data with the rest of the world and enyoy some FNV playing after work..)
