I have to disagree on the validity of being able to buy something, anything, that gives a substantial advantage over players that don't have the thing. Could just be because I don't have a headset myself, though, and thus have never had the chance to try it personally. :frog:
Unfortunately, this is true of every multplayer games and will remain so forever. A better PC means better FPS means better overall performance. When playing a first person shooter, better resolution means it becomes easier to aim, especially at long range...
Or just imagine playing on console using an old 480i TV with stereo sounds, vs someone playing in 1080p or 720p and dolby surround sound...
An unfair advantage? Yeah, I guess. If you can't live with it, stick to single player games I guess... :\
