Sounds of Skyrim

I loved the music in Morrowind and Oblivion but there was just one problem. There was not enough (excluding Mods).

When you think about it, a game that can take hundreds of hours to complete should have many hours of unique music tracks. I was tired of listening to the same old songs when I wandered the land in Oblivion. As we have all heard already, the music in Skyrim sounds amazing, lets just hope there's a LOT more where that came from.

Also, I hope the developers listen to this kind of music to get inspiration, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the greatest music production company known to man. Two Steps From Hell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tvz5-04Q7KE

So what are your thoughts, happy with the amount of tracks in Oblivion, or craving more?

That would be good battle music! Over all though I was happy with the amount of tracks in Oblivion!

Two Steps From Hell-type music would be great for epic combat or emotionally engaging scenes that require that type of surreal, epic sense of fervor.

I wouldn't really want to run around a beautiful mountain top picking alchemical ingredients with a huge choir and drums and a full orchestra strumming and pounding until their fingers bled. After a while it would just get too much.

But for brutal scenes when stuff like that is needed, I'm sure Jeremy Soule will deliver.

Maybe I played the game too much haha.

Listening to epic music would get tiresome, definitely, but if it's implemented right. say just for dragon battles or boss battles or something, i'm sure it would add so much more. I too wouldn't want to listen to 100 men choirs whilst picking herbs.
Still, variety and more is what I hope for, it's like George Lucas once said "Sound is half the film". Well i'm sure it can be said for games too.
