In Your Opinion What Is The Best Music To Play In Fallout?
Do You Listen To Music That Fits The Theme Or Say To Hell With It And Blare Disturbed (The Swing Cover Of Down With The Sickness By Richard Cheese Dosnt Count)
What Do You Think Is The Cut Off For To New To Fit The True Spirt Of The Game? Like Jonny Cash Or Elvis.
Im Already Know The Answer But Ill Ask Anyway, Which Is Better GNR or NVR? (GNR is the correct answer)

I know its kinda dumb replying to my own post but if i didnt have something to say i wouldnt have made the topic, anyway....
Vintage music all the way. I use the Fallout, Mafia 2, and Bioshock Soundtracks. Some late 50s style rock n roll is awsome as hell in the game. Elvis songs for New Vegas of course cause all the refrences to them. The Most Modern thing i have on my custom playlist is some richard Cheese songs cause his covers of People=[censored] and Down With The Sickness are funnny and fit better than youd think.
then theres also Hannk Wiliams,Sinatra, Some Jazz Music,Mack The Knife, Unforgettable, And What A Wonderful World. Also Inkspots greatest hits is essential to any fallout playlist Nuff Said.

I listen to the music from the originals. NVR wins, 3 Dog was so annoying.

What's with all the capital letters BTW?

I've hated Three Dog since the moment he called me an [censored] for killing the ghouls during Tenpenny quest. And his voice gets so annoying after awhile. Never had that problem with Mr. New Vegas, plus he sometimes tells some great jokes.

I love old music, but I do often have to put on some Glen Miller LP to give myself a little variety, also "King of the Road" works damn well with Fallout in general. It's a real damn same most games on the PS3 don't allow you to play music from the XMB... :sadvaultboy:

Loved 3 dogs, was tempted to shoot him for some of the things he called me, i was the wasteland messiah after all, i even searched for the music from fallout 3 so i could play it on my computer, im hoping to run an rpg of fallout 3 soon, and ill be playing gnr radio in the background with a few other songs ive picked up from and some of the old duck and cover stuff mixed in. New vegas radio was ok, but the songs were few and far between, and maybe bethesda didnt want to pay the royalties for sinatra songs or dean martin, its vegas they would have suited it well especially since the dj is wayne newton.

I listen to older music that fits the game, and some metal (songs about nuclear war, like "Rust in Peace...Polaris" by Megadeth.)

Mostly vintage stuff, but when I play Fallout 2 it's different. I think I got in the mood to listen to sleaze rock and gangsta rap one day while playing and it just stuck. My Fallout 2 soundtrack includes the entirety of Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle, Guns N' Roses' Use Your Illusion I and Ratt's Invasion of Your Privacy... and California Love (Tupac, of course!). California Love is my travel music. Haha.

Depends how seriously I'm taking the game.
If I'm crazy into it then I won't be listening to a thing, every rustle that I miss could be the signal to draw down, I'd rather not find myself with a couple of extra mouths in various places on my body than belt out tunes I can wait a little while for.
But if I'm gunning around with a 5mm then it's gonna be George Thorougood or Steppenwolf mixed in with the occassional Huey Lewis and the News.

I only use atmospheric music, I don't bother listening to the pip boy radio mostly because it would realistically give away your position pretty easily, and wearing some sort of headphone in wastes would be unwise due to not being away of your surroundings through sounds.

Mostly the background or in game radio.
Personally I like the 20's - 50's music irl.
One of which I've started to love when playing for the NCR.. The teddy bears picnic.

I have a few Ink Spots records and old country LPs I like to play. But, and this holds true as a sorta music snob, I like to listen to anything vinyl when playing the game. It has the more gritty feel that would be appropriate in the Fallout universe.

Since I play as a really evil son of a [censored], I listen to a lot of dark ambient music. When I went to slaughter and eat the succulent thighs of the Mini Boomers, the track 'Hiding' by Kammarheit started playing. It made the situation ten times creepier. I'll list a few other artists I listen to while playing:
Thomas Koner
Lustmord
False Mirror
Beyond Sensory Experience
A few tracks by Autechre (most of their music is better to listen to with no visual distractions)
Aphex Twin
Camanecroszcope
Bass Communion

I just downloaded the OST of 1 and 2 from NMA. It's pretty awesome. I might link some vids from the tube later.

I listen to GNR More Where That Came From and Conelrad; no reason to listen to any other music as they go so great with Fallout.

Personally, I was a Three Dog fan; he was hilarious and not as repetitive as Mr. New Vegas. Tabitha was also awesome, wish she had more stuff.

Word, glad someone else liked Three Dog. He kinda fits my whole Yippie/60's radical mentality. His howl was sorta silly, though.

The song that I am listening to right now is a perfect song. By no means old, but sung by a old country legend(the only one I really listen to). The Wanderer by Johnny Cash, perfect song right there. Tic, Tic, Tic, by Doris Day is another PERFECT song and its period to, its about Geiger counters!!!!

I've recently been listening to "King of the Road" and "Enjoy Yourself (it's later than you think)" both of which fit quite well to Fallout.

" On the way to the Mess hall" There is newer stuff than what is played by Three Dog and Mr. New Vegas? I hope it is more music by the Frank Sinatra, or by Kay Kyser, or maybe by the Andrew Sisters, Or the Ink Spots, i really like their music. It gets old listening to the same old music, and records are hard to come by out there.....
