Southpaw?

I heard a lot about the Fallout titles from various friends and websites, so I decided to purchase New Vegas. I had been hearing a ton about the control mapping, which I was excited about.
But imagine my surprise when I found out there was no southpaw option, or even an option to invert the sticks. Bethesda went through the trouble of adding fully customizable controls, yet couldn't add something as simple as look inversion, a staple in most FPS titles.

Don't say stuff like "get used to it", I want actual feedback. It's insane that such a small feature isn't in a game where there is control mapping.

I hear yah. I wish I could have my character left-handed. As for lefty controls I forced myself to play righty. I'm lefthanded and I used to play Goldeneye on N64 with left thumb for looking and right C buttons for movement. But when I got a PS3 most games were opposite, so I just taught myself how to play the other way. I used Fallout 3 to teach my self cause it had VATS which helped alot in combat. It took about 3 weeks of playing before I didn't have any problems, now I can't play the other way.

With Skyrim and being able to dual wield I think this will be in Fallout 4 if they use the creation engine.

I don't understand why they can;t just, you know, patch it. Rockstar did it with red dead.
