Not sure how reliable some of this translation is. for example "(...)A storm could flood a river or change its path. A snowstorm could completely bury trees, block caves′ entrances" ... Yeah no that ain't happening. Props to the OP though. Some interesting tidbits in there even though a lot of it needs to be taken heavily with a grain of salt. Gives the reminder of the day's when Todd was hyping Oblivion to be the end all be all of games. And then it released as a succesful failure.

(...)A storm could flood a river or change its path. A snowstorm could completely bury trees, block caves′ entrances....

(...)We can see the snow falling and filling the ground slowly.

(...)We cannot melt the snow with fire

(...)There is a shout that allows Dovahkiin to create weather catastrophes.

(...)NPCs also modify the scenery, like cutting down trees.

(...)Every NPC′s remembers and behaves very realistically. We could reach a village and a priest could accuse us of a robbery in another village, because he was a witness.

(...)Explained by bethesda, we can also kill a merchant transporting goods form one city to another one, and when we arrive its destiny we can see all the people talking about the merchant, that has disappeared, and also creating strange legends about this fact. Instead of killing him, we might have steal something from him. People could ask for this stolen object if they knew the merchant.

(...) Creatures and usually enemies could even help the dovahkiin in his adventures, making them very realistic, instead of attacking him always as in previous game.

(...)Each raze will have its own fighting style, based on the strength, weight, culture and some other attributes

(...)Two handed staffs...

(...)Many ways of solving quests.

This sounds almost too good to be true!

What i want to know is why the OP put "really no new info" in the description.

Anyway as long we keep this thread open till tomorrow and make a new one if this one fills up then Matt should be able to deny the stuff they got wrong. This happens a lot when a non English speaking journalist interviews Bethesda.

I can read spanish. I can vouch for the river part, the translation that is. I'm highly skeptical about much of this info.
I don't recall ever reading about a priest in the E3 demo, so could it be they were shown a different one?

Could it be they were rewarded much like Gameinformer was back January, you know, sort of an European Gameinformer?

Don't know.
Skeptical I am.

Thank you. I want to say personally that I defend myself in english. The translation is okay, I haven′t invented or changed anything, when I say that I′m not english I mean that gramatical errors can be found on my translations.

The article says what I have translated. Is the article wrong? I don′t know.

Anyway, we will know soon. Thank you for tweeting.

Yep. Well, it is certainly *possible*. Rivers changing their path, it can be done, and also about the entrances being buried by the snow, which we already know its dynamic.

You're welcome. But I wasn't the one who twitted.
I am a twitter-less individual.

Anyway, I checked their site: http://www.meristation.com/v3/GEN_portada.php

THeir Skyrim E3 demo coverage:
http://www.meristation.com/v3/des_avances.php?pic=PC&id=cw4df08f2e9130b&idj=cw4d04270c2ee40&idp=&tipo=art&c=1&pos=0

It's 4 pages long so I haven't and frankly won't read it through. But so far it's the usual E3 demo report.
So, again,
maybe they were shown a different more complete demo or were given additional details, or...

Villages fighting each other and npcs cutting down trees is not far fetched at all. But altering the landscape? not buying that.

Actually we've kinda already seen something like it, albeit not as drastic. In the E3 demo when the dragon crashed into the ground he left a huge indention in the land and skidded.

Maybe not as drastic as averting a river but still.

In the E3 demo there was a part where the player was fighting a dragon priest.

Thanks for posting, OP. I found the information to be an "interesting" read.

@ All - I find nothing unbelievable about the possibility of religion influencing how characters might relate to each other.

I think this is the first time I have heard an article mention religion at all for Skyrim. There can be priests in the game as well as merchants.

If you know of other media sources that discuss religion, please link.

Now, I will wait for the tweet response, if aniy.

Thanks

Matt will come directly here but today is his day off. He won't come in until tomorrow.

To the OP: Your translation from spanish to english is not in question. It's the writer's translation from english to spanish that is suspect. We have had several mistakes like that in the last 6 months with non english speaking journalists.

I really hope all of the stuff in this article is true because if it is this is [censored] awesome

Some of it is bound to be a mistake but it can't ALL be wrong. Unless this writer is just completely out of his/her gourd.

Some of this (I've read the entire article in spanish) is hard to swallow...
Some form of official confirmation would be wonderful though.

Interesting bit:

More than 30 different footstep sounds, depending on the type of floor/ground
Por primera el protagonista tendrá más de 30 sonidos para las pisadas distintos, dependiendo de las superficies

It'll be confirmed or denied in the next 36hrs.

One thing is certain though, if even half of this stuff is true then it's likely Beth is holding out on a lot more than this and Skyrim will undoubtedly be THE most dynamic game world ever created. Boo-yah.
