Can anyone tell me how the spawns work in Crysis because I'm sick of getting shot in the back the whole time.

They don't work period. Last night while playing Wall Street, I kid you not, at the start of the match me and an opponent spawned right in front of each other LITERALLY. The countdown reached zero I saw a guy in front of me and got shot within the first second of the game. And I don't mean like he spawned across the street or anything. Im talking about us spawning within 3 feet of each other.

yeah i noticed that the 2 teams spawn all mixed together at the beginning of a game (instead of at opposite ends of the map), which is interesting I guess, but after that do you just get spawned randomly or does it spawn you near the rest of your team-mates?

Also, if someone could start putting together a guide as to the spawn locations for each map that would be awesome.

I think the spawn system is one of the best, how its done i don't know, but i've never been spawn killed yet or camped.
I mean if i wait where i spawned and shoot at someone a few times i get killed fairly quick so i find to cloak and move away from spawn before firing is the best thing.

I've not exactly been spawn killed, but i get shot in the back as soon as i move out from spawn quite a bit.

I hate the spawns. Getting shot in the back immediately kind of ruins the mood for the rest of the match.

tip: after spawing toogle armour or stealth mode on, IMMEDIATLY.
this schould reduce the spawn shooting.. it did in my case..
another tip: use cloak/stealth as much as possible and then switch to armour mode while attacking another player.
increases the possibility of surviving the firefight!
