[Rel] SPAWN

OK, now this probably way beyond the scope of what you want to do with this mod but what about removing the existing leveled lists and installing a dummy one that has a script attached calling up a series of other lists that are used randomly?

You jest :P It probably is beyond SPAWN's scope, but sounds possible. I shall need get some advise first.

Well I admit that it would be a major undertaking but it might make for a very interesting game. In fact I'd like to see virtually everything in the game be random, that would provide for alot of replayability. Another thing I was thinking of was having random trainers, and Mercantile levels for the various merchants. Just make as much as possible completely random.

The only suggestion I can give you is this : Go play Diablo 2 :P

OBSE 18 Beta is out and it's got gifts for SPAWN ! Outstanding requests :
  • Ability to prevent cell respawns
  • Better Cell Detection Heuristics
Unfortunately, that's all there is. Looking for more.

Recently I've come across this mod:
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23366

I guess it's incompatible with yours, but would it be possible to add a function like this to your mod or vice versa?
It would be great to have place centric respawn options which still vary from one moment to the next...

they are compatible, just make sure that the range you input in LPR is OUTSIDE of ALL SPAWN's ranges. iirc it's actually good to use them together since SPAWN still does not handle outdoor areas.

Gekko64 is correct. The upcoming update (waiting for OBSE 18 to go final) will remove that limitation and will basically establish a different respawn mechanism for indoors.

Any news or progress?
I'd really like to see a version that is not dependent on You Are Here.

Exteriors won't be supported any time in the near future, unfortunately. I'm writing the documentation as I'm posting this. Expect a release later this week.

Ah, you're back. I was thinking that this mod was as good as it's going to get. Nice to see you're still working on it, it adds a nice touch to my game.

If there's a new version comin' round the pike: maybe integrate LPR, specifically to handle outdoor cells? Keep it all in one .ini, more easily handle minor interaction funkitude in your code, etc...

Well, it would be trivial to implement that feature in SPAWN. Done. I guess I'll leave it disabled by default.
