you max out crysis with a 9500? did you by any chance leave the resolution at 800x600 or further decrease it via 1337-hax?

crysis 2 will have about the requirements of crysis 1. sure they say it will have LOWER requirements but that's marketing (probably).

remember it got delayed, we might be looking at more than half a year more waiting time.

Better get a RAdeon 4850 or Gtx :280/275/260 or equivalent.
With these cards you will be definatly going to play it on high/very high set. with an acceptable res, and fps-rate.

For Cpu: any Quadcore will do it .2,4 q6600 should be enough.

But:

All these are just advices and of course no official specs.

Cause there are no official specs in precise yet.

Everything is based on statements from Crytek and the specs from the gamescom Pcs (running the MP of C2)

I have a 9500GT, and I could only run it well on a 800x600 resolution. 1024x768 ran it okay-ish for me, but some levels had alot of intense particles and whatnot, it slowed me down to 10-15fps.

ummm, yeah, that's not maxing the game - maxing is generally considered to be at least 1680x1050 at 30fps with ultra high (AA is kinda ignored for the most part, but 2x is definitely beneficial). You'll run crysis 2 about twice as well as the original though if crytek are to be believed.

I can run Crysis 1 maxed out everything with:
Phenom II x4 3.4 GHz
PowerColor Radeon HD 5870 PCS++ :D
That's just awesome ;)
Hope I can run C2 also on VERY high

I suggest you sell those video cards and purchase the Nvidia GeForce GT460.

Don't get the Nvidia card. Get the EVGA 1GB 460 Superclock. Considerably faster, same price range, lifetime warranty.

Agree with Talon95 on this part, get GTX 460, im using it for my desktop.

But if ur going to get a laptop, like me, its a w8ting period for the arrival of gtx 480m.

I don't believe in a lifetime warranty, bad experiences can do that

Regardless, if you want a 460, the EVGA superclock 1GB 460 is the best one on the market.

Obviously, there are better cards out there, but nothing better for less than ~$300 USD
