SPECIAL Benefits In Vault?

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 11:13 pm

So, besides the obvious buildings that utilize a specific SPECIAL, and SPECIAL providing specific scenario bonuses while exploring the Wasteland, does SPECIAL provide any other sort of benefit while inside the vault?

For example, i had 6 men that i had designated as "Vault Guards", and trained them all up to 10 Strength and 10 Endurance, yet they don't seem to deal more damage than anyone else would with their weapon, and they don't seem to be any tougher than any of my other vault dwellers (even ones with 1 Endurance).

It seems that SPECIAL does not matter at all for guards in fighting against raiders or fighting aginst fire or radroach. Only dweller level, which is related to its health point matters.

I concur that SPECIAL should influence the guards in fighting aginst raiders, and other disasters in various ways as they do in Wasteland exploration.

I think that less useful/utilized attributes (intelligence, charisma, endurance) should give some advnatage to guards.

You'd think that 10 Strength would allow your dweller to do more damage per shot (or make their Fists do more damage), but it doesn't. You'd think Endurance would make your dweller take less damage from Raiders, Radroaches and Fires, but it doesn't. You'd think Agility would increase your dweller's rate of fire (DPS), but it doesn't. Would be cool if 10 Charisma dwellers had a chance to convert a Raider to your side as a new dweller.

I would also like to see all the aforementioned ideas implemented into the game.
