I have completed the main quest line with the Railroad. I am currently level 64. I am just going back to complete the map and I noticed I never found the key to the Asylum.

I long ago met Ed in Bunker Hill and was sent to the Cabot House. I talked to Ed there again as well as to Jack, but I guess I never noticed I never actually got the Speical Delivery quest in my quest log. I checked my completed quests and no mention of it there either.. even as a failed quest.

I found a quest ID and tried to reset it, but not sure if I'm doing that right. I've only used the console once before when I was stuck with Here, Kitty Kitty. The cat wouldn't respond to me, so I had to reset it. Other that than I've never used the console commands before. Well I tried to reset Special Delivery, but Ed nor Jack and give starting quest info.

They want the item and I've gone to the Creamery, but the mobs there never dropped the item. Probably because the quest isn't actually in my quest log?

How can I fix this? I don't keep a lot of older saves, so I am unable to go back to a earlier saive prior to me talking to Ed at Bunker Hill. That was many levels ago.

Short of starting over... is there anything I can do?

I've tried doing a reset of the quest in the Cabot House, at Bunker Hill, and even at The Castle. Maybe I can't reset the quest, because it wasn't actually given to me in the first place in my quest log? Even if they did actually talk to me and tell me what to do and what I needed next?
