Specific companion fixes?

Companions have a habit of loosing weapons we give them. I was very upset when Boone lost the AM rifle I bought for him, And upset again when Raul lost the Mysterious magnum (fortunately I was using an energy weapon character.). Has that been fixed?

I don't know about that but i'm having more trouble with companions after the patch than before.
Quick examples, Raul refuses to fix anything unless he's in his shack...fair enough you might think,problem was though, we were in his bloody shack at the time. I fast travelled away and then back, still says he has to be in his shack, so he's no use to me at all.
Then i travelled to west freeside gate (i think) and he just runs away into the distance. No reason for him to do that. I also told two companions to wait by Lake Mead while i looked for the bomber, came back to find them gone and they only returned when i fast travelled away.
This game is a mess.
