!!!!Possible spoilers ahead!!!!




How great is this settlement though. An entire island to make your own; and its bigger than any other settlement i've found

To those that dont know what this is its an island to the east of castle (little bit SE) that can be made into a settlement. To unlock the workstation all you have to do is go to the boat at the SE (I believe) side of the island. its the ship with the power lines running to it. There is a generator that you activate inside the first floor of the boat (and the luck bobblehead on the 2nd floor).

After activating the generator a mirelurk queen and many other mirelurks will spawn to prevent you from your goal. Just defeat all of them and head to the shack at the center of the island. This is where the workstation is located and to the left of the workstation is a switch. Just flip the switch (spawning a few more mirelurks) and the settlement is yours.

Sorry if this topic has already been made 100 times just wanted to make sure the knowledge is out there. Im loving this island.

Alternate Method (and better method) courtesy of Chode Logan: You don't have to fight any mirelurks if you dont want to. Just avoid them and when you hit the switch in the middle shack with the workstation it will cause them to flee from the island.

Do you know if the castle artillery has the range to hit spectacle island?

no problem its soooo awesome. plus there has to be like 2000 wood worth of trees to scrap lol

where is the spoiler here??? sorry if there is one but this is simply explore and discover. no story relevance that im aware of. Will post warning just in case though

maybe because of the mirelurk info? personally, im glad to know it, i was woefully underpreparred for the queen at the castle, so this time i can take my missle launcher along

The first time I went there i just swam across because i wanted to get the bobblehead. IIRC, not only is there a queen but also a king, I thought the battle was over and i went into that little shack to the left of the boat, when i turned around all I saw was his claw and I was dead. He avenged his queen.

yea i hadnt seen a king before this lol. fortunately I caught him at a distance before he could do any real damage

Oh I see, my mistake. When I see spoiler I only thought of that as story related but it has been moved now so my bad. Simply had a different definition of spoiler. I usually never go into general discussion; figures the one time I decide to go into it is when I have a topic to post lol.

Oh wow, and here I am looking all satisfied with my Nordhagen settlement. This changes things up a bit. Going to need more than this weekend to get this place how I want it lol . Finishing up the quest I'm on, then I'm off to this gem....after I get off work .

According to this page, you don't have to kill the Mirelurks just hit a switch that send them all back to the ocean

oh that makes sense. when you hit the switch it does make a very annoying screeching sound. that explains why the rest started running when I hit it

So weird, i even havent found that island

yea I was feeding my kids breakfast this morning and had some random fallout 4 settlement videos playing on youtube and one played showing something built on the island and it blew my mind lol

If it doesn't you can just build an artillery at the island.

Why you cant figure that out by the title name is beyond me. And "no spoilers?" It's in Cheats, SPOILERS, section for a reason maybe if you dont want spoilers you should avoid this area unless you just love trolling people's posts
