Spectacle Island Bug?

Post » Mon Mar 28, 2016 11:14 am

I built my beds on the electric side of the island. figured it was easier to use the already functioning generator right?

Well every now and then the game loses those beds, the bed count goes red, and my people tell me 'not enough beds' & sleeping in shifts.

There are 20 beds on the far side of the island....

Any ideas?

TIA

Do the actual physical beds go missing or is this something you're seeing in the Pip-Boy? Because there is a platform-agnostic issue with the Pip-Boy, where for reasons not completely understood the settlement information in the Data>Workshops menu gets out of sync. It's usually beds that go "missing" or the actual number of settlers either rising or falling so that there's seemingly more settlers than beds. Either way, fewer beds than settlers means reductions in happiness and the settlers saying stuff like what you report when you're around them.

If the physical beds themselves are disappearing, that's something else that I have never seen, and I spend a LOT of time on Spectacle Island.

EDIT: Ok, rereading your post I take closer notice of "the bed count goes red" . . .I have had an issue on the Island, since 1.4, where I suddenly lose my supply line and I have seen status indicators in the workshop interface turn red and then back again right in front of me.

Nothing like losing physical beds, though.

I have lost every non robot supply line to the island. I just assumed they drowned.

my issue is that i have a bunch of beds on the far side of the island and randomly the settlers will lose them and the build menu count will show 0 beds.

The beds don't disappear, they just aren't counted in the settler to bed ratio meaning none of my carrot pickers have a place to sleep.

Unfortunately, then, I don't know what to tell you. The only time I have seen bed counts drop to 0 is in the Pip-Boy while away from whatever settlement this is happening to. Return to settlement, open workshop interface, and all returns to normal (though happiness does not instantly recalculate, which is the heart of the problem for most people, if my read on the situation is correct).

Best of luck finding a fix!
