And i just want to point out, throwing daggers is cool: Skip to 1:20

Impaling enemies with sword skip to 2:55

Disarming Enemie skip to 2:47

and there is much more to it thanks to the dynamic physic environment. This level of detail is hard to achive in a big open world like skyrim

I'm glad it's gone. It was pretty lame, IMO.

I like this. Spell making completely destroyed balance and any point behind circinate spells outside buying the cheapest for its effect.

Inb4 HURR THEN BALANCE IT. If you make custom spell effects more expensive to use, then everyone complains it's "underpowered."

If they limit the types of spells you can use, people complain "you're talking away customization and options for the sake of options!'

If you make circinate spells stronger, then everyone complains about the need for spell making at all.

no, the reason why they've removed it is still not "lack of time" or "being overpowered".

I'm not bothered at all by there being no spell-making. Why? Because that would have meant a ton of generic spells with the same visual effects and virtually the same use over and over again (think Oblivion). Personally I prefer magic like in DA:O, where there were a finite number of spells but they were all really different from each other in both appearance and function. I'm not worried about it all.

I'm so glad it's gone, was overpowering in Oblivion and just lead to a huge amount of exploits.

It's a shame there's no spell making... but at least there is spell combining, as seen in one of the gameplay videos: it looks like the player has a shock spell in one hand and a "turn undead" spell in the other. Sadly, you have to dual wield spells for that.

Oh my goodness , this is indeed a great video , awesome melee , ranged and magic systems , but they seem a bit overpowered , the player hardly gets hit once .....

Spell making was very OP and boring in oblivion, but it would've been nice if they had kept it, and led it more along the lines of changing the affects of spells rather then the individual stats of it. Like making 2-in-1 spells and creating unique magic effects and stuff. As i don't really play a mage its not a big deal for me but i can definetly see how this is a major dissapointment for magic oriented players.

No idea till I've got the game in my hands. Although I don't really play mages anyway, so whatever.

That is the single most nonsensical statement i've ever heard. Since when is making an aspect of a game generic and exploitable to be better then other aspects of it good?

Overpowered is pretty lame. I mean how can you find a game fun anymore if you can just insta-kill everything with one spell not ever being challenged ever? Well maybe the same people who mod multiplayer games would like that but I hate being a god in a video game it's so dull. Anyways I never use magic so it doesn't affect me. But other people are pissed.

Yeah, and im a Magic user and lover...

Spell creation makes it too easy to make overpowered spells which are no good

Not sure how to feel about it yet but I definitely saw this coming long ago. Hopefully you can combine spells and stuff though and hopefully the variations of ways to cast them and mix combinations will be good enough spell making won't be missed much. I'm actually kind of optimistic about this because from what we've seen so far magic looks really cool.

As long as I can enchant my gear, I don't care. I don't play spellcasters anyhow.

the real question is: can you put different spells in your hands, and combine them into a single, powerful attack? because if so, that would be cool

no you cannot combine two different spells into one ball ffs

and for barking about overpowered, good for ****ing you but I fail to see how your inability to not OP and spoil your own experience must equate into everyone else losing the change to do as they please in a single player game.

Wow, that looks great. Too bad Skyrim isn't anything like that. :(

On topic, I don't want to debate this anymore. I don't even think there's anything to debate. The only question is, can we mod it back in, or are mages screwed?

I for one DO care about spellmaking, and in fact multiple tears were shed when I heard the bad news! You can't think for two people bub!
