I cannot change any of the values in the spell maker.

Everything is always 1-1 per 1 levels. I click the plus sign. I type in numbers. Nothing's doing anything.

How do I work this spellmaker?

It's all controlled by the mouse. You should be able to click on the http://www.jceason.dircon.co.uk/dagger/graphics/spellmaker2.gif.
