spider hero

Maybe it's the knee cap of the spider? The leg of which is clearly where you would expect that to be...?

It doesn't seem like there's one on the other leg to me, and in any case, it looks kind of metallic, so I couldn't see it being part of the spider.

LOL. I havent slept in 2 days. And I can tell its the spiders foot, toes pointing backwards toward the wall the hero is facing. Look at the leg bent up.

I'm still leaning towards it being attached to the helmet. Material wise it just looks more logical to "assume" (I hate that word because this is pure speculation) it's metallic in nature.

I'm going to use one of my lines here: We'll have to wait and see

Pretty sure that's part of the helm: http://i.imgur.com/rhIlB.jpg

A uniform indentation (matching the other helm surfaces) seems to follow the raised piece's edges. Not to mention the colour...

Looks like an illusion, I think its one of the spiders leg. After all, the dragonborn in this screenshot is the same we saw on all other screenshots and in the trailer and is helmet had nothing special

It's a different helmet. This one is more grey steel, rather then rusty red/brown. Notice the horns one this helmet? Compare it to another in one of the other pictures.
You see?

that is defintly the the spiders leg. if u compare the shape and colour to the spiders foot on the far right and imagine it bent back looks like what u would expect it to look like. you can even see the spiders knee coming out the right side above the helmet. i swear half the people on these forums are blind

a single line, the egde. is hardly a carving. if u look at the spiders leg on the far right it has the same straight ridges lined edges

cyborg spiders!? i dont think we can cook and eat cyborg spiders

Well technically if someone ate only the organic part they could I think, but then there's always the risk of accidentally choking on or ingesting a metal piece somewhere. It could add to the immersion as a tactical choice, like if a character would be desperate enough for taking such a risk.

Spiders don't raise their running legs like that. the only legs that are used for defense are the front legs. If you look at the Skyrim spider, you notice it has mantis like front legs with no toe/feet. They are used for grasping prey. The leg on the right of the helmet is his second grasping leg.

If you look more closely, you can see a bit of the spiders hairy leg between the helm and the mysterious object.
I honestly think it's an entirely different object, located behind the spider

You can change physical appearance yes, but biomechanics of an animal is subject to physics in that world.

what if you have injured one or more of its legs? what if ur fus ro dahing its legs into the air. im sure u cant 100% predict how a spider is going to act when being attacked by a dragon shout weilding dragon born. also the internal sturcutres of the spider can be different to those of earth so you cant predict the biomechanics of an animal
