I've seen a couple threads every now and then about people wanting the game without spiders due to arachnophobia. Being deathly afraid of spiders for much of my life I can sympathize, but what about the people who love spiders? Who decorate their rooms with cobwebs and obsess over the number 8? Should they not get special treatment as well?

My proposal is simple - Spiderim. Replace every creature and NPC with a spider or spider-based one. The different pc races could be different races of spider, perhaps with Mer being the web-spinning kind and Men being the hunting kind. The various creatures could be all sorts of different spiders with different abilities. And NPC's? I've got 3 words: Giant. Talking. Spiders.

So what does everybody think of this idea? Will the spider-lovers get any luck?

No way, Jose. I do not like spiders. I'm not arachnophobic, but I really really don't like them, and don't even really like them in games.

I re-read OP. I'd rather keep all of the other animals but I'd definitely be more than open to more than 1 spider model/skin. Maybe some dedicated modder somewhere will make some different species.

I dislike spiders irl. Why? I...can't say for sure. I just see one and I get shivers. Then I kill it.

I like spiders in games though. Why? They're usually the biggest baddest kinda giant spider the devs could come up with, and then I get to kill it with the tools given to me. Make's me feel a little bit better on the inside, like I overcame a fear or something.

Yeah but he was making this thread in a response to a MOD that would removes spiders in game. He never said if the game was like this instead either. I just used common sense and figured he was talking about a mod since nobody in thier right mind would want the vanilla game to be just spiders instead of everything else.

Umm, are Bretons really modeled after the French? I always thought they were supposed to represent the British. The ancient Britons (not the modern English whose ancestry is more closely Germanic than Celtic) were a highly mystical race who practiced and believed in all sorts of magic which is why (aside from similarities in the names) it made sense to me that they were British; much like imperials represent Romans, nords - Norse, redgaurds - Africans, and argonians - the french.
