*Spoiler?* Honest Hearts Ending

Post » Wed Sep 28, 2011 10:34 pm

I beat HH awhile back, and I had to say the ending seemed like it was meant to be more. I went to the camp with Joshua graham, (while on the way encounted minimal resistence, say one or two white legs), and as soon as I arrived at the mouth of that section of the map, I lost him as a companion. then there were two dead horse scouts who were trailing behind me walking slowly, and contributed nothing. Some rocks fell, which did nothing but seperate me from the two scouts, which didnt bother me. then I killed a group of three white legs, and then walked forever until I came to Salt Upon Wounds. I was rushed by him and five white legs, and got excited for the challenge, but as soon as SOW got close, it magically put him and 2 white legs tied and on their knees, joshua right behind them(out of nowhere). He killed them two and then I convinced him to let SOW go.

My question is, where were the dead horses, the sorrows, joshua graham, white legs, and anything during all of this? It turned the whole DLC (which wasnt good to begin with besides some stuff) into a major disappointment. The only good things about this DLC I could find was the survivalist, killing ghost of she, and having a helmet that says FORGIVE ME MAMA every time I get a good angle in VATS right before I blow someones head off.

Any explanation for why the ending lacked? did it glitch or is that how its supposed to be? I thought there would be a war.

It was a glitch, what should have happened was the screen should have faded out to black and when it came back up Joshua Graham would have killed the two white legs and then after he talked to Salt Upon Wounds open up a dialouge with you. Oh and we should probably get a mod to move this to the spoiler section to by the way.

but shouldnt there have been more white legs to fight? or was their tribe just 6 people? and I think they shoudlve let you at least fight SOW till his health got low, and them have him surrender...

That is definitely a gltch, the actual ending was actually very good, and made a lot of sense. What Apex Predator said is what was supposed to happen, although I can't say for sure what caused a glitch like the one you experienced. I've never heard of a glitch like that in HH.

And yes, there were supposed to be more white legs, I probably fought about 25 of them during that quest.

if it means anything, I made the sorrows join the fight instead of leave. Though they werent in the final fight at all.

You still should have had more to fight than that. If you've got a save you can go back to I'd say do it, the ending really is pretty sweet and I'd hate for you to miss it because of a bug.

If I remember correctly, they weren't too involved in the final fight, it was mainly the dead horses and white legs. But there should have been a few Sorrows Hunters present at the battle.

I did this awhile back, ive already completed LR and OWB afterward.
Ill probably just make another character when I get GRA, and run it again.
