So I went to the fight the courser, along the way, broke half of my power armor, and I was ready for a big fight but when I talked to him,I chose a dialogue option annnddd I killed him with a reset code. I think how I did this was I went to give Mama Murphy jet, and she gave me a reading or something. I think it shared a word of what she read to me. So anyone else do this or want to test my theory?
