SPOILER! Question - Granny poison bottle gang with plague?

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 1:17 pm

I got a question, i already went through the game once and made my decision to kill or not kill the targets based on what i felt like they deserved.

Well now im doing a second runthrough and im not going to kill anyone. Im on the second level where i have to kill Cambell or whatever his name is. well i met up with Granny Rags and did her first quest and used sleep darts on the gang, now she wants me to poison the distillery with plague. So my question is this

If i put plague in the distillery will that count as killing people? If so i dont want to do it.

Also lets say i did would slackjaw then be hostile/dead to me not allowing the side quest for him to put the pendtletin twins into slavery?

and lastly

I want to save the guard from the posion that cambell is going to give him, but i also want to take out cambell safely without killing him. is there a way i can do both? maybe use sleep darts on them both?

The tainted elixir does not kill Slackjaw, but if it counts against the Clean Hands, i.e. no kills, trophy/achievement, I do not know.

You can spill the drinks and then sleep dart Campbell if you want to save both. If you put Calista's uncle to sleep, you have to stash him somewhere safe, or you will fail that subquest.

Sujic is correct. You can do the first part of Granny's sidequests (the gentleman callers), if you deal with them non-lethally,
but the second part with poisoning the distillery counts as a lethal action.

On the Overseer mission, if you knock over the poisoned wine glasses, Campbell will have to move the meeting to another
place. You can knock out the captain and the overseer, (there is a thread here on spoilers forum about the mission that details
how people approached it differently in valid ways) then transport the captain to a safe place for it to count as a target saved.

No. It doesn't not count as lethal, I poisoned the distillery, got 0 kills and you have to do it in order to get granny's achievement and the rune in the last outsider shrine of the game.

You can have 0 kills on the mission debriefing screen and still fail Clean Hands. Example: killing Granny Rags in chapter 8 doesn't show up on the mission screen, but is still counted as a lethal action.

I swapped the poison; Campbell died and i used sleep dart on Calista's uncle. I hid him in the trash bin just outside the High Overseer building but Calista still said her uncle died! Is it that i had to hide the uncle further away? If so pls direct me where is the safe location?

I tried carrying the uncle with me to meet Samuel but can't seem to carry him to a new area....

I did the poisoning and I'm sure I had 0 kills at the end of the mission.

I recommend not doing the mission for Granny, because then the nonlethal option for the Twins will not appear, as Slackjaw's men participate in it.

False. The non-lethal option for the twins appears. Slackjaw doesn't know who poisoned the swill.

Not poisoning the elixir has some upsides, especially if you want to do a not-detected/non-lethal run: there are no weepers in the distillery during the Golden Cat mission and you don't have to do the Granny Rags vs Slackjaw thing in the Flooded District. Makes up for the two lost runes, methinks.

Hm. Cool. On my non-detection playthrough now. Was a bit disappointed in how evil Granny is at our final meeting, so I'll avoid her this time.

I have a question, if a distillery thug kills weepers, or they kill a thug, in the distillery during the Golden Cat mission do the kills count against non lethal? When I came back out after meeting Slackjaw the weepers where out of the cage and I got the rune, but they attack the thug at the entrance and he killed some, they just stormed him, should I just let them go as I wasted a lot of Sleep darts trying to stop them.

It svcks having to wait until the whole mission is over before you know if these type of events count.
