Civil wars...

HELL YEAH BRING ON THE POLITICS!

Dragons...

Meh, teaser made it clear.

Save the people and explore the frozen tundra...

Okay, frozen tundra is cool and stuff. But BRING HOPE TO (SAVE) THE PEOPLE? I am tired of this cliche.

Why are you on the Skyrim boards, then? Everything is going to be a spoiler. Literally everything.

I hear ya. I'm super-sensitive to spoilers myself, to the frustration of many of my friends.

Friend: "Yeah, when you start, you--"
Me: "SHUTUPDONTSAYANYTHINGELSELALALALA."

Some people thought they were the Akaviri (And the Dragons). Me included.

It still can be Akavir, Tosh Raka is the leader of Ka'Po'Tun one of the four races who lives in Akavir. Ka'Po'Tun is a "tiger like" race but they are NOT Khajiit.
For centuries Ka'Po'Tun have tried to beecome dragons the first and only one to succed was Tosh Raka "that we know of so far"

So maybe there will be an Akavir invasion after all.

If it's not a spoiler, it should end speculation of who they are. These are (giant) dragons, clearly enough.

the Giants began to come down from the mountains again. And they were a bit different than we Nords remembered, or perhaps we had forgotten much, but they would not speak to us anymore-- they would only smile in their lazy way, stomp over, and take our stuff.

Sounds like dragon shenanigans, to me: virgins, treasure, people to eat, good ol' orderly society, you-name-it. They can be lazy about it, because they only fear "the one," and it takes a while for the one to solve problems, doesn't it? It always takes a journey.

I suspect it'll be up to the player how the Dovahkiin pleases everyone and solves the dragon dilemma. Given the nature of the Dragonborn, being http://www.imperial-library.info/content/morrowind-arcturian-heresy, we should have plenty of freedom: destroyer and creator, a la http://www.learntarot.com/maj12.htm.

It states that you save the "frozen tundra". So you're not a side-kick after all.

I don't understand how you draw that conlusion from them just saying "you". Obviously, you, the player, has to something, otherwise there's no plot. That doesn't reveal whether or not you're the helper, hero, or whoever else.

Idk... I made me feel unhappy to have info before any real info. I want my information to come straight from GI. I just felt like it was a spoiler and I thought other people might feel the same way.

Not a massive story spoiler though. :P

lol those two posts you made were pretty stupid, no offence.

They don't have any information. That's what they have gleaned from the trailer. A lot of people gleaned that. They have to write something and that does seem like it's what the game will likely involve.

The information isn't confirmed, as there is no information yet. Take it with a grain of salt and wait for the real information when the February issue of Game Informer comes out.

Nothing is a spoiler. This is, if its even true. The only spoilers are information given out/heard too early. I am going to avoid the forums from the 6th of Jan until I get the mag.

I don't see how they are stupid. :P

I just felt it as a spoiler and everyone was making fun of me for it. I was just expressing my opinion and telling the OP to say it might be a spoiler to some people because It felt like one to me.

That's all that can be gleaned from the most basic interpretation of the trailer and a basic ES geography degree. Otherwise, I highly doubt GAME has something that isn't actually printed directly on the box. Therefore, an inevitable spoiler.

Granted, if the plot's as basic as Oblivion, then yes, it's a huge spoiler. But if the plot is as rich as Morrowind or Shivering Isles, then no, not so much. To be blunt, when you shave off everything, Bethesda's stories are pretty generic. It's when you pile on rich lore and understanding that it can cover it up- which is what Oblivion didn't do as well as Morrowind.

I also highly doubt it's anything we wouldn't have learned within the first hour. For example, with Oblivion, I don't know if we learned anything about Paradise, that the Mythic Dawn stole the Amulet, etc. Then again, I wasn't around that much for Oblivion (I usually try to avoid game forums as much as possible when I anticipate a game like that. For example, I still haven't played Mass Effect 2, which has been out for around a year, I want to, but I have absolutely no details of knowledge about the plot. And I like it that way.)

There is no box that I know of, since the game was just announced a few weeks ago. Again, the only information that is true is the information that comes from Bethesda themselves. Right now Bethesda has given no information to anyone but Game Informer and that issue isn't out yet.

Bethesda has given information to other magazines (especially in other countries, don't want to leave non-Americans out of the loop, you know). I believe they have, at least.

It wouldn't surprise me if somewhere, somehow, a leak has sprung. But it happens.

Also, it's fairly likely Bethesda has put some information out to retailers, because they want the pre-order pages up and to have something that people will get interested about.

As far as I know Game Informer is the only place that information will come out first. It will spread across the world but for there to be an exclusive it has to start somewhere, that will be Game Informer.

Right now, that is the only information I'm taking as truth.

As far as retailers, they make up dates when they don't have them. They make up information to put on their pages, taken from the trailers which we only have one so far. I don't trust retailers period.

what makes me doubt the legitimacy of this as new information is the "return of the legendary dragons"
tamrielic dragons are legendary, yes, but they never actually went anywhere, so they can't be returning from a place they never were
unless they are talking about akavir, it would mean that it is a description that wasn't released by bethesda and is just from the trailer
I think we may be looking too far into a description that's probably just basic information taken from the trailer

As others have stated I'm pretty sure they just got all this from speculation on the trailer. But I guess we won't really know until Game Informer hits out doorsteps/internet.

Thanks for posting this though. It is interesting.
