Honestly, I'm more interested in what Lyon's BoS has turned into rather than the MWBoS.

Point Taken, it was a campaign.
I would have to say I am more interested in the MWBoS. But seeing if Lyon's BoS have become anything like the MWBoS would be interesting as well. I hope they aren't just fighting the Institute for technology.
That's Jason Marsden or a guy doing a phenomenally good impression of him. Just compare that guy's voice and Myron's.
It does sound like him. He was my first thought as well. But I don't believe anyone was given credit for it.
TBH, the BoS in 4 doesn't seem any different then the one in 3, except they are far better armed.
Lyons never gave up the codex, besides letting people in.
From the trailer it sounds like the Brotherhood is fighting the Institute because they're oppressive to the Commonwealth.
So probably freedom fighting again.
It seemed like the Institute has yet to show itself to the people. "It finds you." I am sure it is an oppressive place, at least to androids. But would that be enough for Brotherhood to go all out against them? There has to be more to it.
In the launch trailer some guy in Diamond City was defending himself, saying he wasn't a synth.
Obviously synths replacing actual people has become a notable problem.
I hope I'm wrong, but it seems like the way they're setting it up the Institute is Enclave 2.0.
Everyone in that trailer (seemed) to be pointing their figurative guns towards the Institute. I don't know, I just hope we can join MIT and not be railroaded (pun intended) to fighting them.
Data from the pipboy app says we can join them.
Sounds like a body snatcher plot. Which would be an interesting use of advanced human like androids.
I hope we can join them as well. I don't want the game to another "you must join the good guys" and fight "the bad guys."
Edit: and it looks like we can.
If this is the Midwestern BoS in Fallout 4, then it's definitely under General Barnaky. The BoS in Fallout 4 actively pursue and kill any Ghouls they find, Feral or not. They're a lot more hostile towards them than the Lyon's BoS was in Fallout 3.
Yeah, I'm hoping so. I also like his "rustic" look, which doesn't look like something any DC or WC BoS member has worn, save for Veronica in "disguise". A leather jacket, fingerless gloves...seems more like a MW warlord who was once a wastelander recruited by the BoS. That is the vibe I get, and along with his gung-ho speech, I have hope. As slim as it is. If he looked like a 20 year old, I probably would not have this hope.
I get the vibe the Commonwealth is a threat to "humanity" because they make robots that look like people.
Check out the BoS emblem that's on their armor. The small cogs are on the https://youtu.be/X5aJfebzkrM?t=61 (at 1:01 is the best time to see the emblem), rather than the right side in the trailer. Now http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brotherhood_of_Steel_(Capital_Wasteland) showed the small cogs to be on the left side, but what's been stamped on their armor as their http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/b/b6/Fallout_3_PA.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110415193822 where the small cogs are on the right side.
Don't know if anyone pointed this out, but I thought the emblem shown in the video looked weird compared to what was in FO3.
Just because somebody looks older doesn't mean they're older then they actually are. I was very old looking for my age when I was in my teens, so much so I could get into more lax bars in my area that didn't check I.D, Hell, I had a pretty defined beard at the age of 18. I think that is Arthur Maxson, he looks young enough to be in his twenties and I wouldn't be surprised if his upbringing was mired with testosterone-pumping action since his teenage years. Life in the Wasteland is hard [censored], and I don't doubt that Maxson, despite his privileged position, was exposed to its horrors to ensure he became a leader of men.
Plus, he is clearly the leader on a airship called the Prydwyn, a clear reference to Arthurian Legends, how could it not be him?
I'm just surprised that the Institute is considered to be this shadowy force. Wasn't it the post-apocalyptic version of MIT? I had always just assumed that some of their androids had gotten out and that it was causing issues, but from the way the BOS was talking, it sounds much more diabolical. I'm very interested to see how it'll play out.
