I spotted driving skill books

Well it is probably related to fuel consumption, or maybe random encounter while you are "driving" on a map.

Speaking of fast travel, i think it will be done more fun in Fallout 4, not only you could use a car to fast-travel (not actually driving it, just move to point A to point B , put probably even that blimp that we saw in the trailer.

Oh! You might be completely right, that makes a lot of sense. Not sure then what most of the images are, then. Some of them look consistent with the ones above and below them, others look far from it.

Man, where's the CSI "enhance!" technology when you need it?

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but that isn't a car in the perk table. It more looks like a desk where vault boy is sitting behind: http://puu.sh/ifIRm/c239b20803.jpg

You can also see what looks like sort of clock hanging on a wall behind him...and a picture/window.

edit: here's a more enhanced pic of all the perks. http://i.imgur.com/JeBQ1wU.jpg

edit2: again, you can see that this is cleary not a vehicle.

Since the world is destroyed and industrial factories are crippled after a nuclear war. i hope cars do not have infinite fuel and I hope diesel and gasoline is in limited supply.

Maybe some person is lucky and discovered oil on her land or his land.

Fuel needs to be rare either way and cars also need to be rare, especially cars in somewhat working condition.

Forget driving, what about flying!

I can see it now, Todd Howard at the E3 conference: "You see that vertibird over there? You can fly it."

On the magazine rack, left side starting from the top you see Grognack the Barbarian(like in FO3), next is a mag called "Awesome", then another Grongnak magizine that we've not seen before. On the right in the middle is a Guns and Bullet book or mag but with a different image, a soldier in front of American flag. Also if you look on the desk right of the rack is a picture frame. I think it's the same picture of the couple at the beginning of the trailer in the prewar home.

Consider even Skyrim could at least get universal praise on giving good none fast travel options to get around, its not impossible Beth has seen the value of adding vehicles to 4, personally I hope for a nice Harley like motorcycle over a car but that's just me.

So it seems. And a good thing too.

It looks more and more that those are not perks but the different SPECIAL levels.

Make sense, besides the top row there are ten rows of pip boys, which would coincide with the classic 1-10 range for SPECIAL attributes.

It's definitely related to SPECIAL, though it looks like just a poster and not one of those machines like you used to pick your SPECIAL in New Vegas.

On the other hand, I guess that confirms that SPECIAL is still there and that attributes haven't suffered the same fate they did in Elder Scrolls.

Even though it may look like a desk to me it still looks like a car. The very end at the right you see a small black circle, which looks like a wheel and tire to me.

Hmm. It's not a car. It looks like it would be under the Endurance column at the row for a value of six.

Even if it doesn't happen. New Vegas has got mods for that including The Frontier: which features tank warfare.

A couple of things I noticed in the garage from the trailer, a tin can/bottle cap wind chime on the right entrance to the garage. Also a pip boy in on the work bench on the far left. When the trailer is showing us a view of Swatters and Diamond City Surplus, just after we see the eyebot, between these stores is a store called Commonwealth Weaponry.

Ok more confirmation you can drive cars.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1056381&page=163

Scroll down to comment #8117 a newogaf.com user took a big picture and he says you can see a red car parked near the sidewalk. He even says the red paint looks like it's in good condition.

That was one of the other driving skill book with a picture of a red car that I saw.

Confirmation? Not hardly.

I'd say that it's stretching to even suggest that it hints at player drivable cars. Even if there is a functional vehicle in the game, it could be something like a taxi that operates much like the carriages in Skyrim did ... you pay to fast travel.

Ok it's not a confirmation, but that cars paint is in good condition and it's parked perfectly near the sidewalk.

No no all this talk about driving and how it may be possible.

Got me thinking about the Highwayman. An old junker from Fallout 2 you could rebuild.

I don't see anything at all.

I don't see any cars on the skill magazines in the rack.

The vault boy stickers are about SPECIAL and I don't see any cars in there either.

And the link to the forum about post #8117 seems like they're trying to say a smudge is a car.

Like, no.

I don't see anything at all that indicates that there are going to be vehicles that we, the players, can drive.

You're speculating on something that isn't there.

Like, we can definitely have a discussion about vehicles and whether or not they would be a good implementation.

But speculating on things that aren't there just because of wishful thinking doesn't do anything good.

Oh. I know what the highwayman is. I played the 3 classic old Fallout video games.

Fallout 2: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game is actually one of my favorite Fallout video games as well as Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.
