Yes and the correct term is "tagging".

First, it's because tagging is kind of broken here. The tagging itself is slow, unlike in C2 where it was instant. The visor opening is also slow, and closing it as well. Tagging also fails to work even if there is a single metal bar, or a crate in front of the player's lower body..
