Spouse-merchant gold amount

So, I'm currently thinking about a new character (without actually "finishing" my current one yet... but that's another story), and I'm considering of building a Hearthfire home for the first time. Now what bothers me a bit is, that you don't really have any merchants in those houses, and you need to run back and forth between your house and the next city (or village) if you want to sell/buy/store stuff. I know that if you marry, your spouse will open a shop. But I couldn't find any information about how much gold they have available for bartering; neither on uesp (neither on the page for marriage, nor on the page for merchants, nor the related discussion-pages), nor on any page I could find with Google. All I find is, that they will give you 100 gold a day... which I already knew from uesp.

tl;dr: How much gold do spouses have available for bartering?

If it's too less, I might have to stick to Breezehome... or run around like crazy after every dungeon, or use a mod that I've found which adds a merchant to your house (which is also a fence and behaves like one, but that would be a bit weird as I don't really plan on joining the Thieves Guild with this character... being a mage and such).

As far as I can remember the main difference between fences and regular shopkeepers is you say to the former 'what'll you give me for these?' rather than 'what do you have for sale?' Granted, it's a bit different, but I think you'd be able to roleplay that he's just a guy who buys stuff off you, you don't have to *know* he's a fence, as such?

Hm well, the merchant wears Thieves Guild armor and the gold amount increases through completion of the TG special jobs (up to 4000 gold, which is of course great (if I'd join the Thieves Guild), but yeah...).

I guess 750 gold doesn't sound that bad, though. Especially since I plan to try to not pick up as much as possible anymore, so I might get away without running back and forth too much.

Everyone has their idea of a good time, some like to RP, some like to push the game, some like to follow lore, and some just like gameplay.
