Can we please be inform by what you patch in the game? There needs to be a sticky form for all consoles and PC that let us know what your patching into the game. I love the game so far therefore I feel it would be important to inform us as to what your changing to the game we own. 60$ is a lot these days and we would really appreciate constant news about what y'all are up to.

Keeping in constant contact with your community will only help promote the game and strengthen the communicating. (helping you sell DLC and up coming projects)

Keeping a sticky for news in each forum could help with people seeing the communication. Also try updating the forums to have a thing that shows were admins have posting such as how world of Warcraft does. Another thing that would help is uses the news tab on the website. It doesn't have to be big news its just important you make it easily available instead of posting answers in little threads scattered across everywhere.

The common misconception is with hosting instead of dedicated severs the probably connecting to a game is mostly the internet providers fault. It also has to do with the internet connection of the other players too. Also considering you haven't tried in 2 days and crisis 2 has come out with a number of updates you might have better luck.
